From Head of the Department

Dear Students,

Welcome to Samsun University Industrial Engineering Department.

Our department, established in 2019, aims to train new generation industrial engineers in line with the needs of the age and offer new solutions for the industry with innovative research and industry-oriented project partnerships.

Our department consists of two divisions, namely “Industrial Engineering” and “Operations Research”. In these divisions, 2 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 4 Assistant Professor and 3 Research Assistant who are experts in their fields work. Our department, which started to accept students in 2021 with its young and dynamic staff, aims to prepare our students for business life by educating them in a wide area ranging from production processes to human factors, from supply chain planning to service systems management.

With a 30% English curriculum, we prepare our students for their careers with fundamental engineering and field courses. Besides, we offer the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge with laboratories, summer internships and the “Vocational Education in Business”, which offers one semester of industrial experience. In this way, we create a strong foundation for training an effective and versatile industrial engineer.

As Samsun University Industrial Engineering Department, we are ready to train industrial engineers who can work in all national and international sectors aiming to improve efficiency and processes.
